2 thoughts - I just caught up on my reading so I am a few posts behind :)

1) Brian's best friend converted to Eastern Orthodox a couple of years ago after his studies on the Church in seminary. He got fed up with the showiness of protestant churches and felt people lacked reverence toward God. He loves the repetition, the respect, the sacredness and the sense of reverence that the Eastern Orthodox community practices. The more we get to talk to him about it the cooler I think it is that he craved a deeply sincere relationship that gave God all the honor He deserves enough to convert.

2) I would highly recommend to anyone that they should live in DC for at least a year of their life. This goes for you too. The city is amazing. There is actually a feeling in the air. A vibe. A buzz. It feels like... life. I LOVE it and miss it!
